How to operate the cooling tower correctly, these three points are very important!
Basic principle of cooling tower
A cooling tower is a device that uses air (directly or indirectly) in contact with water to cool water. It uses water as the circulating coolant, absorbs heat from a system and discharges it to the atmosphere, thereby reducing the temperature in the tower, and making cooling water recyclable equipment.
The operation and maintenance of the cooling tower is very important. Incorrect operation and maintenance or carelessness in the operation are often important reasons for the accident. Therefore, let's take a look at the three aspects that should be noted in the operation of the cooling tower.
1. Preparations before operation of cooling tower:
1) Foreign matter on the side of the air inlet or around the wind trunk must be removed;
2) Make sure there is enough clearance between the tail of the windmill and the wind shaft to avoid damage during operation;
3) Check whether the V-belt of the reducer is adjusted properly;
4) The position of the V-belt pulley must be kept at the same level with each other;
5) After the above inspection is completed, start the switch intermittently to check whether the windmill operation mode is correct? And whether there is abnormal noise vibration?
6) Remove the debris inside the hot water pan and the tower body;
7) Remove the dust and dirt in the hot water pan, and then fill the water to the overflow position;
8) Start the circulating water pump intermittently to remove the air in the pipe until the pipeline and the cold water tray are full of circulating water;
9) When the circulating water pump is operating normally, the water level in the cold water tray will drop slightly. At this time, the float valve must be adjusted to a certain level;
10) For the circuit system, reconfirm whether the circuit switch, fuse and wiring specifications match the motor load.
2. Matters needing attention in starting the water tower:
1) Start the windmill intermittently and check whether it is running in reverse or abnormal noise or vibration occurs? Then start the pump again;
2) Check if the running current of the windmill motor is overloaded? Avoid the phenomenon of motor burnout or voltage drop;
3) Use the control valve to adjust the amount of water, and keep the water level of the hot water pan between 30~50mm;
4) Check whether the running water level in the cold water tray is normal.
3. Matters needing attention during the operation of the water tower:
1) After 5~6 days of operation, re-check whether the V-belt of the windmill reducer is normal? If slack, you can use the adjustment bolt to re-lock properly;
2) After a week of operation of the cooling tower, the circulating water must be replaced again in order to remove debris and dirt in the pipeline;
3) The cooling efficiency of the cooling tower will be affected by the level of the circulating water level. For this reason, it is necessary to ensure a certain level of the hot water pan;
4) If the water level in the cold water tray drops, the performance of the circulating water pump and air conditioner will be affected, so the water level must also be kept constant.
